My Story

Vignesh has 11 years of experience in active transportation and highway design. Prior to joining
Kimley-Horn, Vignesh was the CEO/Principal and founder of Crossroad Lab. He has built a
reputation as one of the leading engineers in active transportation design. He has successfully
designed and delivered more than 100 protected corners in the state, collaborating with local
governments, agencies, and Caltrans. He was invited to take a leading role in the writing of
NACTO’s ‘Don’t Give Up at the Intersection’ design guide. Beyond intersections, Vignesh also
has worked extensively with bicycle paths, bridges, corridors, interchanges, parking analysis,
and transportation demand management programs. He has spoken around the world on
transportation topics, Featured in Articles/TV shows and has a social media following of over
1.7 million as the name @mrbarricade, where he educates and does outreach on transportation
projects. Vignesh was also the Lead Engineer on tunnel projects for The Boring Company,
building a tunnel network throughout the Las Vegas Area. There he operated tunnel boring
machines, surveyed sites, designed stations, horizontal excavations, and tunnel alignments.
